Certn recently announced a partnership with Deel, a remote-hiring company that offers technology to enable compliance and payroll for businesses around the world. The Victoria-based background-check provider integrated its services with Deel, creating the first hiring platform to embed background checks into its onboarding workflow.

93 percent of firms globally run background checks as part of the hiring process. "The manual alternative β€” chasing documents, and remembering multiple logins β€” sucks," said Andrew McLeod, CEO of Certn. "This integration with Deel removes the compliance logistics and time-consuming process of hiring and onboarding global talent.

This partnership significantly adds to the momentum of the fast-growing company, with a clear emphasis on serving the global market. Certn first raised $65 million earlier this year and has since appointed an executive to oversee markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and also acquired an Australian background-check provider.
